Sobre el tema planteado en este foro que es la comparación del Campus Virtual versus el Campus Presencial, de acuerdo a la experiencia que he tenido con ambos mundos, mi inclinación esta más dada hacía el Campus virtual, por qué?… Existen varios puntos que me mantienen motivado en estudiar virtualmente, tales como:
1.Manejo del tiempo: Estudiar virtualmente me permite administrar mi tiempo, distribuyéndolo entre la cotidianidad del trabajo, la familia, amigos y el estudio, no requieres invertir tiempo en desplazamientos para asistir a una institución (Campus Presencial).
2.Costos: El ahorro que logras estudiando virtualmente es bastante considerable versus un Campus Presencial, ya que como tal en si la propia Maestría ya es un ahorro en costo, lo otro en lo que ahorras son en los costos de manutención (Alimentos, Fotocopias, Libros, etc.)
3.Herramientas: Cuando hablo de herramientas incluyo la comunicación, para el caso virtual es Internet, donde te puedes conectar a cualquier hora durante las 24 horas del día, también esta el IPAD que va a permitir llevar el estudio a cualquier parte donde nos encontremos, elementos que en un Campus Presencial a pesar que podríamos tener no son de uso constante y permanente. Finalmente el acceso a libros e investigación de una forma rápida y sencilla en el Campus Virtual, mientras que en el Campus Presencial tienes que estar pendiente de la disponibilidad de libros en la biblioteca de la institución que asistas.
4.Foros: Es una herramienta muy útil en el campus virtual, ya que permite la interacción entre los diferentes actores (Alumnos, Tutores, Institución, Soporte) del mundo virtual, lo que permite conocer diferentes puntos de vista, aprender de la cultura de los alumnos de los diferentes países y problemáticas propias de sus países, mientras que en un Campus Presencial solo contarías con opiniones de personas de tu propio país si decides hacer un estudio en una institución de tu país y éstas interacciones solo se fomentan mientras estas en clase presencial, que puede ser cuestión de algunos minutos.
Estos son algunos puntos entre muchos otros que ya los compañeros han abordado en sus diferentes intervenciones, solo me queda por opinar y sugerir que como bien lo colocan en el Campus Virtual como material de apoyo es que un Factor Clave de Éxito para lograr la consecución de los objetivos que cada uno tiene trazados es la «AUTODISCIPLINA», en la medida que seamos disciplinados cumpliendo con los temas de estudios el éxito podrá estar asegurado, al principio puede ser que nos cueste trabajo, pero luego de adquirir el hábito y la inercia de la disciplina es un factor muy motivante, lo digo por experiencia propia.
